This will be a quick post, but it’s also a simple, but awesome!, recommendation. After several South Beach adventures including this Saturday at Big Pink and other times at Fogo de Chao and South Pointe Park (mentioned inside Miami Urban Outdoor Escapes) I’ve stopped with friends at 4D Gelato on the corner of Washington Ave and South Pointe Dr (plus they have locations on Lincoln Road and in Bayside, with one opening soon in Aventura).
The first time I went there I was very impressed with how rich and creamy it was. It was a noticeable step up of creaminess from other gelato places (even really good ones that I’ve had). I’ll be honest that I can’t remember the gelato in Europe well enough to compare (besides remembering that it was amazing in Europe obviously!), but 4D has locations in Europe so that seems a good endorsement when it comes to gelato. Despite having trouble comparing it to gelato in Europe I do however now feel confident enough after Saturday’s visit to not only say it’s my favorite gelato place in Miami, but also to endorse it as the best gelato place in Miami! They have a variety of flavors, plus creations like banana splits and some amazing looking dishes (at least based off the pictures!), like a dish that was layers of gelato, strawberry syrup, and whip creme!
The caramel creme is my favorite and is so creamy, plus the perfect amount of caramel richness! From my time in Europe I also love the gianduia flavor (chocolate and hazelnut).
If you’re in one of the areas with 4D Gelato (South Pointe, Lincoln Road, Bayside) then definitely check them out for a rich creamy treat (my recommendation is the caramel creme!).
Quick post but well worth it to provide a great gelato recommendation!
